Navigating in the configuration manager

The configuration manager screen is split in 2 sections: left the navigation tree-view, and right the grid-view. It is only the tree-view where you can edit the configuration. The grid-view helps you having a better overview on the tables and table mappings section.

When you change something to settings, it will be saved to the registry of the workstation you're working on when you exit the configuration manager. This includes the widths of the columns in the grid-view.

Setting the grid behaviour

Use Tools - Grid Settings to setup your grid behaviour

• Filter when connection is selected: when enabled the grid-view is filtered whenever you click on a connection in the tree-view.

• Filter when table is selected: when enabled the grid-view is filtered whenever you click on a table in the tree-view. You can do this in the tables and table mapping section. The grid-view is filtered containing only elements of the selected combination connection - table.

• Filter when field is selected: when enabled the grid-view is filtered whenever you click on a field in the tree-view. You can do this in the tables and table mapping section after selecting a table. The grid-view is filtered containing only the element selected, which is filtered on connection-table-field-multiple use id.

• Point to field when row is selected: when enabled the tree-view will automatically focus on the field selected in the grid-view. If the field is not visible in the tree-view when selecting it in the grid-view, it will automatically expand the tree-view to have the field visible.

• Sort on selected columns in grid: if you select one ore more columns in the grid, the grid will be sorted on those columns. If you selected more then one column, the grid is first sorted on the left most column, thereafter on the next left most column,...

Changing the grid appearance

Use Tools - Grid Settings to change the grid appearance.

• Visible columns: enable or disable the checkboxes next to the columns names to make columns visible or not.
• Changing the column name: select the column name, and click a second time. You may edit the column name now.
• Column order: select a column and change its position in the grid by pressing the up or down finger buttons.

Press Ok to return. Your grid will now be reintialized.

Printing

Select File - Print or use the print button to print your configuration. You will be prompted
with a print preview.

The contents and settings of the printout is exactly the same as the grid-view contents and settings. You can can change column widths by changing the width of that column in the grid-view. The visible columns and the column order is determined by the grid settings. And the printout uses the same filter and sorting order applied to the grid-view when calling this print preview screen.
